Justice
•considered to be fair for everyone

•often used in criminal trials 

•lack of basic necessities is unjust 

•God is seen as totally just, and so poverty
 offends against God’s sense of justice
•sending out supplies to those in need

•provide long-term aid
Compassion
•emotions of sympathy with the desire to
 help

•humans were created to feel compassion,
 challenging us to care
•television appeals

•news footage of suffering are uncomfortable
 to create guilt because compassion makes
 us want to do something about it
Stewardship
•someone in charge of someone’s safety or
 in charge of something valuable 

•looking after the Earth of God, including
 environmental issues and world poverty

•people are part of ‘the creation’ and so we
 should care for everyone as well 
•allowing people access for water and to
 grow food 

•charities set up to send resources to those
 who need it
